Hunebed is an eye-catching modular couch

Featuring a combination of strong lines harmoniously infused with subtle intricate details,  Netherlands-based Sander Mulder fabricates ‘Hunebed’. It’s an eye-catching modular couch where one can stack and rotate individual stones, creating the perfect seating solution.

With bold statements and innovative techniques – he has grown to become an international design studio over the years. Specializing in one-of-a-kind furniture, lighting, and interior design.

Crafting everyday objects and spaces comprising the highest quality and beautiful craftsmanship. Mulder’s eclectic work often questions archetypes and their interpretations by mankind.

Available in a wide variety of alluring colors and skillfully made from a warm wooden and foam frame and steel connections. This minimalistic product’s assembly can be effortlessly manipulated by the user by simply adding stones to cleverly located pivot points.

“Empty pivot points during assembly can be for electrification solutions. Such as a USB charging point or even a main power socket” says Mulder.

Composed of conceptual rotating stones with a highly functional 360-degree freedom of motion. Its vertical stones add an arm and backrest as well as brilliantly act as a privacy screen.

Its horizontal stones further add comfort planters adding a tranquil biophilic aesthetic to this extraordinary object.

A new way of waiting as well as working – “this couch is especially well-suited for public waiting areas including airports, hospitals, hotels or additionally even flexible meeting and work spots in office buildings” Mulder adds.
