The Village of Marou and the Land Art Generator Initiative (LAGI) invite designers and innovators worldwide to create a captivating permanent installation for the coastal village of Marou. This artwork will provide clean electricity, drinking water, and support sustainable tourism while securing a harmonious future for the community’s 67 households.

  • Entry Fee: Free
  • Prize: Two teams will receive $100,000 USD to advance their designs and build prototypes in Fiji.

The project integrates renewable energy and regenerative water systems, addressing Fiji’s challenges of climate change, economic reliance on tourism, and the need for sustainable solutions. LAGI 2025 Fiji emphasizes innovation, aesthetics, and community engagement to inspire the world with creative adaptations for a low-carbon future.

Date and Location:
The initiative is centered in Marou Village, located on the southeast coast of Naviti Island in Fiji’s Yasawa archipelago.
