Architecture Competition: Walter A. Hunt, Jr. Scholarship

This scholarship honors the passing of Walter A. Hunt, Jr., its namesake and benefactor. Hunt’s generosity of spirit and commitment to education live on in the scholarship he established. Make a donation to the Walter A. Hunt, Jr. Scholarship fund here, or send a check made payable to the Center for Architecture, with “Walter Hunt” in the memo line: Center for Architecture, 536 LaGuardia Place, New York, NY, 10012. On behalf of the Hunt Family, the Board of Trustees, and staff of the Center for Architecture, thank you for continuing the example of generosity embodied by Walter.

Eligibility

Applicants must be current New York City public high school seniors who have been accepted to a 5-year Bachelor of Architecture program at a NAAB-accredited School of Architecture in the U.S. Students at NYC Charter High Schools are eligible. Students at private, parochial or other schools where tuition is charged are not eligible. Applicants must provide a digital copy of their final graduation high school transcript in order to accept the award.

The second year of the scholarship funding is dependent on demonstrated successful completion of the student’s first year.
