Loop Water Bottle – functional, fun, and innovative

Believing in the power of conscious sustainable design, London-based creative studio Blond skillfully crafts ‘Loop’ – a playful water bottle with an iconic shape and innovative lid, from which it takes its name, embodying one-of-a-kind features.

With Joseph Joseph approaching Blond to fabricate a hero product in their new hydration range – this conceptual project was driven by observational research carried out pre-pandemic, gathering insights into how people were actually using their water bottles.

“We identified several pain points and utilized these to drive our ideation process.

Firstly – we noticed that people struggled to handle the cap of their water bottles with other items. Such as a phone, newspapers, bags, and so on.

Secondly – we saw that many instinctively held their bottle by the cap, between two fingers, letting it dangle by their side” says Founder James Melia.

With a shapely functional build and soothingly alluring color palette. This minimalistic object is made from insulating double-walled, vacuumed stainless steel.

Letting the user effortlessly slot the lid over the bottle’s neck provides one with a convenient fuss-free as well as hygienic place to store the lid whilst drinking.

The eclectic lid further doubles up as a convenient carry handle and attachment point for hanging from bags.

Gently curved, the inside of the loop is an identical match to the bottle’s contours. Seamlessly allowing a tight friction fit that prevents it from sliding.

“We designed an internal screw thread on the spout, leaving a clean drinking surface on the outer face” Melia adds.

Additionally – the spout brilliantly comprises a wide neck that allows space for inserting ice cubes as well.
