Architects Öznur Pınar ÇER and Danilo PETTA, founders of Mask Architects,

designed the new generation luxury villa Rock and Cave “Villa G01”.

The villa is unique, with panoramic sea views, located in one of the most exclusive areas of Northern Sardinia.

Robotic construction technology has been used to ensure the sustainability of the Sardinian local architectural and physical feel.

The architects, Osnor and Danilo, sought to ensure the sustainability of the existing fabric,

by combining the inspiration they draw from the architectural fabric of the work of Jacques Coyle in Sardinia,

with their own architectural style and the birth of this mixture of old and new with today’s technology.

The goal of this design, was to achieve a design using a local architectural style that is organic,

has a natural texture, and uses local materials but not as used before.

The villa has been redesigned in harmony with the existing local architecture using ecological opportunities.

As the villa not only carries the daily routine of life, but also gives you inspiration and reminds you of your memories of the experiences.

It also generates an atmosphere of slow and calm summer living,

encouraging mindful communication with family and friends and the freedom to live peacefully in nature.

The concept of “Villa G01” takes its inspiration and general appearance, as this property respects the architectural style of Sardinia.

Design Features

The villa is surrounded by a large garden of 4000 m², and the interior area is 592,00 m².

The villa is completely integrated in its natural environment, nestled among rocks and plants,

as well as bordering the beach and crystal blue sea.

The living area consists of a large living room connected to the pool and landscape by folding windows,

creating a very bright entrance of light thanks to the large windows opening onto the balconies, dining area and lounge.

The main villa design is centered around the wall in the main living room,

which is the main body structure and the final organic stairs to the cave on the first floor.

It is a private empty space that suggests silence and contemplation or the passing of religious moments,

it is an architectural adaptation of typical pre-Nuragic Sardinian worship spaces carved on the rocks. (fairy houses)

Featuring elegant textures, sophisticated interior décor and excellent traditional finishes,

the center of this design curve begins to blur from the main living room against the wall.

The design philosophy we use as a ‘Magnetic Curve’ is formed around this wall which included the main structure and access to the cave balcony.

In order to give the main design direction to create a perfect distribution and division of indoor and outdoor spaces with the landscape.

The exterior embodied in traditional finishing is reminiscent of ‘Rock House’.

The cave on the surface is inspired by the local Sardinian rocks that have voids like those that occur naturally.

Users can access the balcony floor through the void for sunbathing or lounge seating areas.

They can also come down or walk on it, and enjoy the panoramic view day and night,

and the surrounding view can be seen from the rooftop terrace.

The villa is set in a large, well-kept flowered garden, cleverly designed and visualized,

overlooking the stunning beachfront.

The ambiance of the woods gently embraces the house, ensuring an innate sense of calm,

bright colors and fermented aromas.

The outdoor garden has been designed like a natural forest with natural stones and native plants,

with panoramic views, to watch beautiful sunrises and sunsets all around.

The spacious, comfortable outdoor spaces are ideal for outdoor entertaining,

enjoying crystal waters and sparkling yachts from the terraces, lounge seating areas or from the panoramic roof deck.

The villa has been re-created with five bedrooms and exclusive daily living areas with sea view,

specially designed for a client who wants to enjoy it with his family and friends.

The breezy residence celebrates its magnificent view from a ground point of view blended into a delicately landscaped uninterrupted

design garden that has a private jetty and direct access to the white beach.

One of the bedrooms is a spa, ideal for those who like to relax,

as it has a relaxing sauna and massage area.

In addition to the bedroom windows offering stunning views and unforgettable vistas,

all bedrooms enjoy great lighting thanks to large windows that open directly into the exquisite outdoor lounge areas

that enhance the feeling of continuity between indoor and outdoor spaces.

The entrance to the people services and all the annexes is located on the left hand side on the first floor which is directly accessible by car.

It is also a 30 square meter warehouse, and the service personnel rooms in this area are located on the opposite part of the main entrance.

The design provides continuity and transition between the interior and exterior through the distinctive swimming pool,

with retractable curtain walls, which the user can open to give maximum openness in the living room.

The pool will act like an infinity pool where the pool is lined up from many angles with the sea and looks like the pool is drifting into the sea.

The stunning organically shaped swimming pool is surrounded by outdoor activities

such as an outdoor kitchen with large dining table, outdoor cinema, solarium and multi-purpose area.

It is the first pool of this kind and complexity with 5 different water depths, created using a KUKA robotic grinding machine.

The 4x4mt high density polyurethane blocks are modeled by robots in a different place,

transported on site and consist of a special steel structure and coated with resin called gelcoat.

As for fitness the design also provides a private outdoor gym area to enjoy the benefits of outdoor physical activity that is contained among the vegetation and beach atmosphere.

The villa also has a staff quarter in the basement for service staff,

underground parking, laundry, pantry, and sauna and cinema room.
