Unique glossy Metamorphic Rock stools from Objects of Common Interest were on display during Milan Design Week 2022.
At Milan Design Week 2022, Objects Of Common Interest showed one-of-a-kind glossy Metamorphic Rock stools while innovatingly examining concepts, materials, shapes, and physical spatial experiences.
Eleni Petaloti and Leonidas Trampoukis, the company’s founders, say that with a strong emphasis on creating still life installations, experiential environments, as well as objects, “we aim to create a balance between long lasting and ephemeral projects whose creative approach arises from an abstract realm enriched with layers of conceptual readings.”
Their work is the result of brainstorming and creating between two very different poles, Greece and New York, fusing the formal and the intuitive, embracing the handmade and tactile, and embracing the experimental and lyrical.
This semi-transparent piece of furniture was skillfully constructed from a gel that was poured and solidified. It is surprisingly soft and has a distinctive feel.
Furthermore, with a sturdy rock structure that elegantly rests on a tray on casters. It is great for interior use and comes in a variety of eye-catching, brilliant hues.
Handmade with care, the translucent nature of the material in these eclectic objects beautifully sparkles and creates unique light effects.
