Prisma Art Prize 2023 is now open for entries!

Prisma Art Prize 2023: The cultural association Il Varco is pleased to announce the 12th edition of its Prisma International Art Prize, an online open call for artists that takes place every three months, open to every artist worldwide.

About Competition

Il Varco organizes the 12th edition of its PRISMA Art Prize, an art prize that takes place every three months online with a cash award and that will end with an annual group exhibition at the end of the fourth edition of the same year, with some of the artists that took place in the quarterly editions, chosen by the art direction.

Furthermore, this is an art contest born to promote emerging painters and visual artists. What the organizer wants is to answer a fundamental question in the current artistic context: What does painting mean today?

At the base of their project, there’s the constant research and enhancement of artists from different cultural and educational backgrounds.

The goal is to create space and visibility for emerging artists, presenting an inclusive career opportunity that will span throughout 2022 involving visual artists from all over the world, regardless of age, genre, and ethnicity, and featured in the annual catalog of the event.

Moreover, the organizer is looking for paintings, drawings, graphic art, and engraving of any size and on any support.

The jury consists of artists, curators, and critics from different backgrounds ensuring an inclusive approach to the selected projects.
