Revive on Fiverr

Revive on Fiverr invites architects, artists, and designers to participate in a competition exploring Adaptive Reuse, a sustainable approach that reimagines existing structures into innovative and environmentally conscious spaces. Hosted by Designboom and Fiverr, the competition offers a platform for professionals and amateurs alike to showcase their creativity while promoting urban renewal.

What is Adaptive Reuse?

Adaptive Reuse focuses on transforming outdated or unused structures into modern, functional spaces. This competition encourages participants to design a project that demonstrates innovation, sustainability, and cultural sensitivity, while reducing waste and environmental impact. The competition aims to inspire future collaborations between freelancers, architects, and developers, providing winners with opportunities to contribute to real-world urban renewal projects.

Competition Phases

1. Phase 1: Registration (November 25 – December 16, 2024)
   • Participants must register via Designboom and submit:
     • Up to ten previous works (JPEG format).
     • A 250-word presentation detailing their work and motivation.
   • Registration on Fiverr is mandatory.
   • Selected participants will be notified by December 20, 2024.
2. Phase 2: Project Submission (December 20, 2024 – January 24, 2025)
   • Selected participants submit their designs digitally via the contest portal.
   • Judges will evaluate entries based on the contest brief and judging criteria. Winners will be announced on February 3, 2025.

Prizes

The first prize winner will receive $5,000 USD (excluding taxes) as compensation for their original artwork.

Eligibility

The competition is open to architects, artists, and designers worldwide, whether professional or amateur, who have reached the age of majority in their respective countries.

Judging Criteria

Submissions will be evaluated on connection to the brief, sustainability and environmental impact, creativity and imagination, visual and technical execution, and functionality and user experience.
