SIT Furniture Design Award 2025
The SIT Furniture Design Award, a leading international platform celebrating excellence in furniture and interior design, is now open for its 5th edition. This prestigious award seeks to honor outstanding furniture makers, interior designers, brands, manufacturers, emerging talents, and visionaries who enhance our daily lives with their innovative designs.
Theme: “Seat and Beyond”
This year’s theme, “Seat and Beyond,” invites designers to push the boundaries of furniture design, focusing on creativity and strategic thinking to craft exceptional pieces.

The award features a distinguished jury panel, including:
- Alain Gilles, Founder and Lead Designer at Alain Gilles The Studio
- Bo Zhang, Artist & Chief Designer at Desz Office
- Niko Kapa, Design Director at Studio Niko Kapa

Submission Categories
The award is open to global submissions from both professionals and students, including conceptual designs, works in progress, and completed projects. Designers are encouraged to submit their entries to showcase their vision and craftsmanship.
Entry Fees
- Professional: CHF 200 (approx. US$220) incl. Swiss VAT
- Same product in additional categories at a 50% discount
- Student: CHF 100 (approx. US$110) incl. Swiss VAT
- Same product in additional categories at a 50% discount
Deadlines for 2025
- 10% Early Bird Discount: Until September 8, 2024
- 5% Extended Early Bird Discount: Until October 31, 2024
- Regular Deadline: January 12, 2025
- Final Deadline: March 3, 2025 (with a 10% late fee applicable until April 20, 2025)
Submissions will be accepted until April 20, 2025.
