Stretch, a futuristic warm wooden desk with an intriguing flexible leather book stand by Portugal-based Teixeira Design Studio to increase productivity and provide users the option to choose between having an additional surface area to work on or space for storage.
The founder, Joo Teixeira, describes the Stretch desk concept as “almost reminiscent of how paper rolls work” and a “useful yet whimsical leather book stand that users might adjust using a swiveling pivot point placed on both sides for ease.”
Increasing efficiency with this unique workstation
Given the variety of users and how frequently they might need to alter their configuration, the leatherback stand’s extra adjustability makes it easy to adapt the depth to suit different requirements.
The leather piece may be entirely rolled up and flattened to the tabletop to create a bigger workplace while brilliantly adding value and originality.
Furthermore, one can have more storage space and keep tools and items out of sight by simply unrolling the stand.
This basic piece of furniture also has a Scandinavian aesthetic thanks to the clever interplay between its delicate details. And its overall wooden materials.
For instance, the tabletop’s middle piece is slightly recessed and the rounded edges of the legs effortlessly meet it. Therefore giving the design a more dynamic and modern appearance, Teixeira continues.
