Toronto-based Studio Paolo Ferrari has crafted cinematic interiors for a restaurant in the city’s Downtown area, drawing inspiration from a range of filmmakers including Stanley Kubrick and Nancy Meyers.

A Multifaceted Dining Experience

Daphne unfolds as a series of rooms with distinct identities, each borrowing references from different cinematic styles. Unlike a typical restaurant layout.

Custom-Designed Furnishings and Lighting

Each space offers a unique experience for guests, with all furniture and lighting custom-designed by Studio Paolo Ferrari to enhance the restaurant’s individuality.

An Imaginative Fusion

Described as an elevated take on the American bistro, Daphne combines the nostalgia of New England prep with wonder and eccentricity. Thus, creating an imaginative and deeply creative space.

Intimate Entrance and Grand Great Room

Guests are greeted by an intimate space featuring a transparent full-height wine cabinet before entering the cavernous Great Room, characterized by dramatic vaulted ceilings and a warm neutral palette.

Distinct Dining Spaces

The dining area features a line of tables paired with rounded striped sofas and boucle-covered chairs, while a burnt orange-colored space adds a cozy and intimate atmosphere.

The Drawing Room: Monochromatic Elegance

Continuing the burnt orange color scheme, The Drawing Room envelops walls, ceilings, and seating upholstery to create a harmonious monochromatic space.

Artistic Bar Area

The bar area features wavy walls, green banquettes, and a hand-painted landscape mural, offering a verdant and visually stimulating environment.

Outdoor Garden Terrace

Adjacent to the restaurant is an expansive outdoor Garden Terrace, created by demolishing a dilapidated building. Therefore, providing a botanical-themed dining area and bar surrounded by plants and trees.

A Journey of Discovery

With depth and experimentation as key elements, Daphne offers guests an active experience of discovery. Where thoughtful and innovative details can be uncovered throughout the space.
