The TX–6 is a multi-channel audio interface and ultra-portable mixer created by Teenage Engineering.
Teenage Engineering, founded in Sweden, creates the smallest device of its kind, the “TX–6,” an ultra-portable, battery-powered mixer and multi-channel audio interface.
This eclectic product is for portability, encased in CNC aluminum with 2k molding, custom-made encoders, faders, and PCB, and has more technology than comparable larger devices in one strong compact machine.
One can opt to have the three-band eq at their fingertips or configure each knob to manage any preferred setting. It brilliantly includes a 6-channel stereo mixer with a programmable knob configuration.
You can use all 6 channels simultaneously with ease thanks to their slim profile, and each channel also features a movable compressor.
This sleek device also has eight built-in effects, where you may experiment with reverb, chorus, delay. And artistic effects like freeze, tape, filter, and distortion.
We can use it as a portable synthesizer, sequencer with four oscillator waveforms, and a DJ mixer when turned on its side. It also comes with four synthesized drum sounds. To keep pace with the music, one can employ tempo sync.
The TX–6 can trigger and sync the inbuilt synthesizer as well as the sequencer from external sources. Or we can use it as a wireless controller for other ble midi devices.
It functions as a 12-channel audio interface when prepared for the studio and maybe smoothly connected to iOS devices.
Finally, the device’s rechargeable battery lasts for around 8 hours, and to save energy, the display automatically turns off when not in use and the led intensity is fully adjustable.
The field bags are built for durability and are ready to be utilized, according to the studio. They are “made to suit TX–6 field mixer and created in high duty fabric and metal.”
