Amazon Prime Video Experience | San Diego Comic Con
For Comic Con’s 50th Anniversary Tool of North America partnered with Amazon Prime Video to convert a 60,000 square feet parking lot into an all out theme park. The lot featured 3 show specific activations, a 40ft tower, secret comic shop, nightly parties & premieres and of course plenty of cos-play. The experience hosted 15,000 fans over its life span running over 500 unique show performances for fans to enjoy.

Carnival Row
Studying countless hours of show footage the team worked hard to recrate the world of carnival row with an insane level of detail. This activation began on the backstreets of the Neo-Victorian Carnival Row. Guests were questioned by law enforcement, then moved into the marketplace where they can interact with vendors, pucks, and faeries. Guests got to enjoy an intimate performances, explore the fantasy side of the world, and mix & mingle with the mythical creatures of from the show.

The Expanse
Amazon Prime Video wanted to bring a fan centric experience for a first look at season 4 of The Expanse. To do this we crafted an activation where we converted a shipping container into the shows flagship spacecraft “The Roci” and landed it on the alien planet “Ilus”. Over 4,000 guests went through the activation embarking on a peace keeping mission aiming to settle tensions between “Belter” refugees and interstellar mining corporation the “RCE”.

The Boys
Based around a crucial scene in episode 1 this activation put fans in the forefront of a crime scene that needed to be covered up. Lead by two members of The Boys cohort, attendees scoured the store to dispose of anything that could lead back to Butcher and Hughie.  With the cops on their way, fans had about 10 minutes to clean up to search and destroy before fleeing the scene.

The Tower
Standing 40ft tall our tower served as a landmark drawing attention from around downtown San Diego to our activation. The tower held stunt performances during the day, DJs at night and and content on all-sides of its upper LED Display. We built its frame using Mod Truss and applied dichroic acrylic panels across all sides. The inner structure was lined with DMX controlled LED strips and surrounding speakers sent audio throughout the lot.
