Premise

As the academic year concludes, the Best Thesis Awards 2025 unites architectural talent to recognize and celebrate the most innovative and impactful theses of the year. This global platform fosters creativity, advances innovative ideas, and presents unique perspectives on the built environment. It’s a celebration of excellence, innovation, and the potential to shape the future of architecture.

Objective

The awards aim to highlight architectural theses that exemplify originality, demonstrate creative problem-solving, and address pressing global challenges in innovative ways. By recognizing such projects, the competition aspires to inspire the global architectural community and spark new conversations about design’s role in society. The emphasis is on technical and aesthetic mastery, as well as the projects’ relevance to current and future global challenges.

Eligibility Requirements

This competition is open to final-year architecture students graduating in 2025 and graduates who completed their studies in 2024 or earlier. To ensure every participant’s unique voice is recognized, the competition is strictly individual.

Team Code

Upon registration, participants will receive a unique 4-digit Team Code, such as “1234.” This code serves as an order number during payment and remains the primary identifier throughout the competition.

Submission Scope

  • Small-Scale Projects: Residential buildings, pavilions, modular structures.
  • Medium-Scale Designs: Community centers, institutional buildings, mixed-use developments.
  • Large-Scale Interventions: Urban design, public transportation hubs, master planning.
  • Experimental and Speculative Projects: Adaptive reuse, futuristic challenges, visionary concepts.
  • Technological Innovation: Smart systems, artificial intelligence, advanced materials.

Evaluation Criteria

  • 2 x A1 Sheets (PDF, at least 150 dpi, max. 20MB per sheet).
  • Optional Video Submission (1-2 minutes explaining the concept).
  • Anonymous Submissions (No personal identifying information).
  • Seek Fanatic Logo required in videos.
  • Registration through Seek Fanatic only.
