Overview

The Bethel Woods Art & Architecture Festival 2025 invites designers to explore the theme of fire—both as a gift and a burden—reflecting humanity’s responsibility in harnessing emerging technologies. The competition seeks innovative designs that foster community, craft, and ecological balance across three typological scales:

  • Peace Pop-ups – Small-scale interventions (e.g., seating, tables, bars).
  • Peace Hubs – Medium-scale structures (e.g., gateways, shade pavilions).
