Overview
The Bethel Woods Art & Architecture Festival 2025 invites designers to explore the theme of fire—both as a gift and a burden—reflecting humanity’s responsibility in harnessing emerging technologies. The competition seeks innovative designs that foster community, craft, and ecological balance across three typological scales:
- Peace Pop-ups – Small-scale interventions (e.g., seating, tables, bars).
- Peace Hubs – Medium-scale structures (e.g., gateways, shade pavilions).
- The Peace Pavilion – A singular space for gathering and contemplation.
Up to nine proposals will be awarded, with grants ranging from $1,000 to $6,000 per project.
