Architectural & Design Analysis

The design logic grants priority to innovation, aesthetics, ideas, function, sustainability, value and impact. In architecture and interior categories, spatial quality, material clarity and context sensitivity are the main aspects of the design and thus the judges’ attention. The product and graphic design entries will not only be judged on their appearance but also according to how well they are responding to user needs, production contexts and sustainability requirements.

The competition challenges designers to consider not only the aesthetics of their creations but also the ways design connects to the environment, the culture and the human experience. It is a challenge that unites multi-disciplinary thinking and cross-category synthesis. For architects this is opening up the possibility of linking built form, user interaction and material systems in new and refreshing ways.

Competition Importance

This awards programme proves that design is a matter involving different disciplines and scales. It is a place where architecture, interior, landscape, product and graphic design are together in a common area. It brings visibility, credibility and professional development for the participants. Entering this competition will be a way for designers to get in line with the global standards of excellence and innovation.

In a period where sustainability, adaptability and user-centric design are getting more and more central issues, the competition is offering implicit relevance. It is an invitation to designers and architects to be responsible, insightful, and even more so, to be creative in the solutions they propose.
