YACdesign, in collaboration with Stilfar Italia, has announced the Design of Dreams competition, inviting participants to create innovative furniture collections for the sleeping area. This design challenge seeks to reinterpret the meaning of the bed in modern culture, going beyond its functional use to reflect its symbolic and aesthetic significance. Designers are encouraged to create visually striking, marketable furniture that contributes to contemporary living spaces. The competition’s cash prize totals €7,000 and will be awarded to the best proposals.

Through this competition, participants have the chance to explore the intimate, restful nature of the bed and its evolving role in modern living environments, especially given the rise of smart working habits. With an emphasis on industrialized yet impactful design, Design of Dreams aims to celebrate the everyday gestures of resting and dreaming.
