Overview

CyberSecAsia is a leading B2B cybersecurity events community created by Escom Events, dedicated to fostering communication, learning, and cooperation in the field of cybersecurity across the Asia-Pacific region. The platform hosts more than 30 large-scale conferences, summits, trade exhibitions, and forums annually, connecting cybersecurity leaders, Chief Information Security Officers, and information security professionals from across the globe. CyberSecAsia emerged in response to increasingly complex cybersecurity threats, with the aim of gathering diverse industry forces to jointly address digital security challenges and raise the overall level of cybersecurity protection and awareness.

As digital infrastructure becomes ever more intertwined with the built environment, understanding the security of smart buildings and connected spaces is increasingly relevant. Explore how technology intersects with modern design on ArchUp Architecture.

Focus

CyberSecAsia events concentrate on the most pressing topics in the cybersecurity landscape, including cybersecurity trends and strategy, privileged access and identity management, zero trust frameworks, data loss prevention and recovery, Internet of Things security, machine learning and artificial intelligence applications in security, and security awareness. The 2026 series spans multiple countries across Southeast Asia, with each event tailored to the local regulatory, industrial, and technological context of its host nation.

Highlights

The 2026 CyberSecAsia calendar features a series of high-profile events across the region. The CyberSecMY Conference takes place on 19 and 20 May 2026 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, followed by the CyberSecID Summit in Jakarta, Indonesia on 22 July 2026. ✦ ArchUp Editorial Insight

The rapid expansion of the CyberSecAsia series across Southeast Asia reflects a region that is acutely aware of its growing digital vulnerability. As nations like Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam accelerate their smart city agendas and digital infrastructure investments, the cybersecurity layer underpinning these built environments becomes as critical as the physical structures themselves. For the architecture and design community, this convergence is no longer abstract: smart buildings, connected interiors, and IoT-embedded spaces are now standard features of contemporary construction, and the security of those systems directly affects the integrity and livability of the spaces we design and inhabit. CyberSecAsia’s model of localized, country-specific summits is particularly astute — it acknowledges that cybersecurity is not a one-size-fits-all discipline, but one shaped by local regulation, infrastructure maturity, and threat landscapes. As the line between physical and digital space continues to dissolve, events like this serve as a reminder that the future of architecture is inseparable from the future of digital security.
