The 14th edition of Investec Cape Town Art Fair will take place from February 19–21, 2027, with an exclusive Vernissage opening on February 18, at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) in Cape Town, South Africa. As one of Africa’s leading contemporary art fairs, the event brings together renowned international and African galleries, artists, collectors, curators, museums, and art professionals for a dynamic celebration of contemporary art and creative exchange.
The 2027 edition will explore the curatorial theme “In Acts of Alchemy,” examining ideas of transformation, change, and the ways people, materials, and meanings interact to create new forms and perspectives. The theme reflects the fair’s focus on artistic experimentation and the evolving relationship between African art and the international contemporary art scene.
The fair will feature a diverse selection of exhibitions and curated programs, including Main, Lookout, Editions, Tomorrows/Today, SOLO, and Generations. Capsule will focus specifically on design and craft, while an extensive program of talks, guided art walks, interactive workshops, and the Unbound City public program will offer visitors opportunities to engage with artists, ideas, and creative practices beyond the exhibition floor.
