Overview

TranspoQuip and ExpoParking is a biennial trade exhibition dedicated to mobility technologies, transport infrastructure, and parking services, now in its 13th edition. Organised jointly by Fiera Milano Brasil and BMComm, it is held at Expo Center Norte in São Paulo, Brazil. TranspoQuip covers multimodal transport infrastructure spanning highways, railways, ports, and airports, while the co-located ExpoParking addresses public and private parking sector trends and technologies. Both events run simultaneously and are complementary in scope. For built environment professionals, the event covers urban mobility infrastructure, intelligent transport systems, and smart city technologies that directly intersect with architectural urban planning and public space design disciplines.

Focus

TranspoQuip addresses six core thematic areas: multimodal transport integration covering road, rail, air, and waterway systems with a focus on logistics efficiency and connectivity; urban mobility including public transit, micromobility, electromobility, and smart city technologies; digital technologies and intelligent transport systems (ITS) encompassing big data, IoT, AI, and transport management platforms; road safety including signage, monitoring, maintenance, and cargo and passenger protection equipment; electromobility and clean energy solutions including charging infrastructure and low-impact environmental innovations; and parking management, automation, and digital services for urban centres. ExpoParking focuses specifically on the transformation of parking services within growing urban environments, a topic with direct implications for architectural programming, ground-floor activation, and building typology decisions in dense urban contexts. The intersection of these themes with urban design and architectural research on mobility makes the event relevant beyond its primary engineering and logistics audience.

Brazil’s ongoing urban mobility challenges, including chronic traffic congestion in São Paulo, expanding metro networks, and the transition to electric public transit, provide a concrete national context that gives TranspoQuip’s content practical urgency beyond the exhibition floor.

Program

The three-day event runs from 29 to 31 July 2026 at Expo Center Norte and combines an open exhibition floor with a content programme across its thematic areas.

Main Exhibition Floor

Exhibitors span manufacturers and service providers across transport infrastructure equipment, intelligent transport systems, electromobility solutions, road safety technology, urban mobility products, and parking management systems. The floor is configured for direct B2B engagement, sourcing, and commercial negotiations between suppliers, contractors, government procurement officials, and transport infrastructure operators. For architects and urban planners, exhibitor categories covering smart city integration, public space mobility equipment, and ITS infrastructure offer direct access to suppliers engaged in the physical and digital layers of urban construction.

TranspoQuip Thematic Zones

The exhibition is structured around its six thematic areas: multimodal transport, urban mobility, digital technologies and ITS, road safety, electromobility and clean technologies, and parking. Each zone concentrates suppliers and content relevant to its specific discipline, allowing targeted sourcing and knowledge exchange within the broader event structure. The electromobility zone is of particular relevance to design and construction professionals working on EV charging infrastructure integration within buildings and public spaces.

ExpoParking

The co-located ExpoParking addresses the evolving parking services sector, covering automation, digital management platforms, payment systems, and new service models for urban parking facilities. In an architectural context, parking typology represents one of the most contested and rapidly changing building categories in dense cities, as electrification and shared mobility progressively alter the spatial and programmatic assumptions of parking structures. ExpoParking’s focus on this transition carries relevance for urban design research and adaptive reuse planning.

Audience

The event targets transport engineers, urban planners, infrastructure contractors, government transport and urban mobility officials, logistics operators, electromobility technology suppliers, parking facility operators, ITS system integrators, and architects engaged in urban infrastructure and mobility-related building typologies across Brazil and Latin America.

✦ ArchUp Editorial Insight

TranspoQuip and ExpoParking occupy an intersection that is structurally relevant to urban architecture even if the event itself is not framed within a design discourse. Transport infrastructure, urban mobility systems, and parking typologies are among the most consequential forces shaping the spatial organisation of contemporary cities, and Brazil’s urban centres represent particularly active testing grounds for these transitions. The electromobility and smart city content carries direct implications for how buildings are programmed, accessed, and integrated into urban mobility networks, and these are questions that architectural practice engages with in urban projects of any significant scale. The ExpoParking strand on parking transformation is of particular note: as autonomous and shared mobility shift the demand calculus for structured parking, the adaptive reuse and reprogramming of parking structures is becoming a significant architectural research and design challenge in Latin American cities. The event does not address these questions from a design perspective, but the underlying industry intelligence it provides is useful for practitioners working at the urban scale.

Closing Note

As Brazil’s primary biennial exhibition for mobility technology and transport infrastructure, TranspoQuip and ExpoParking hold a well-defined position within the country’s infrastructure and urban engineering events calendar, with secondary relevance to architectural and urban planning professionals engaged in mobility infrastructure, smart city integration, and urban building typology decisions.
