Green Product Award Fashion 2024

For over a decade, the Green Product Awards have been awarding sustainable and innovative products across 13 unique categories, with the Fashion Award being one of them. In July of 2023, Green Future Club and Igedo Exhibitions began cooperating in order to host a ceremony every other year in Neonyt Düsseldorf, which would give the press and buyers in Germany a comprehensive view into these products. Labels from all differing sizes, small and large, are able to submit their sustainable projects, including individual products and capsule collections, into the categories; clothing, shoes, bags and accessories, with December featuring a public voting process and finishing with an exhibition in January at the Neonyt fashion fair.

Evaluation Criteria

Overall rating:

An assessment is made to examine the uniqueness, replicability, and dependability of the original concept. The complexity of the analysis, quality of preparation, and method of implementation are all examined. The potential for a beneficial effect on the environment and/or community is also taken into account.

Subject-specific reviews:

The design of a product is judged by evaluating its aesthetics, ease of use, affordability, ecological construction, and the potential interaction between the product and its packaging. Innovation is assessed by examining if a problem is resolved, the extent of novelty, and the significance of the outcome. The sustainability of a product is evaluated by considering all phases of its life cycle, including concept/ pre-production, production, distribution, use, and reuse.

Eligibility

Submissions are welcome in three levels:

Established companies: companies, designers, design studios, manufacturers, research institutes, institutes, and associations that have been in existence for some time.
Start-ups: designers, creators, teams, and small businesses with an annual turnover of less than 1 million euros.
Students/Graduates: individuals who are currently enrolled in a course, teams, and individuals who have graduated within the past year.

Prize

At Neonyt Düsseldorf, the victorious parties of the Green Product Award will be honored at its very own booth. The nominees of the award will be celebrated in Neonyt’s and Award’s pages for a total of six months which includes engaging the public in their voting process. An award seal is also provided for PR and marketing usage, alongside an exclusive invitation to the award ceremony.
