Presenting NEOM plans using satellite developments,
More details have emerged about Saudi Arabia’s plans for the TROJENA and OXAGON sectors of the giant $500 billion NEOM project.
After the country’s participation in a regional real estate trade conference in Riyadh last week.
As part of the inaugural Cityscape Global meeting,
NEOM promoters were on hand to present their accelerated plans for each project,
Which will instead be a ski resort/wildlife reserve and man-made artificial island.
The island contains residential spaces that can accommodate up to 90,000 residents.
Details were also shown about Sindala, a huge yacht club and terraced beach resort island.
The goal of the event was to attract potential investors and property buyers,
through high-tech sales presentations with immersive exhibitions and panel discussions featuring members of NEOM’s leadership team.
Models of each site are included along with virtual reality headset tours,
architectural drawings, and other media related to the development.
Which is being marketed to complete the first phase by the end of 2025.
Live streaming of construction progress at the sites was also part of the presentation.
Discovery Tower
Event photos and models show TROJENA’s new high-rise commercial structure “Discovery Tower”,
Replicating other biomimetic designs for lodging components in each resort development.
The “Rewilding” partnership with the Saudi National Wildlife Center was also revealed.
Complemented by short documentaries “inspired by Wes Anderson.”
Overall, more than $30 billion in sales were reported at the conference.
The kingdom is committed to its massive development plan,
which promises a “revolution in urban life.” More than 20% of the preparatory infrastructure work has already been completed.
During the summer, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman reiterated his assertion that the main sector of The Line in NEOM is a necessary bulwark against the expected population boom in the country,
Despite the exaggerated appeal of tourist and luxury destinations for satellite developments.
While current expectations indicate that the smart city will mostly be ready by 2039,
With Atkins, AECOM, and a team of distinguished architects on board to help guide the “Zero Gravity Urbanism” concept to completion.
