Function-Oriented Architectural Design

The new facility will centralize all car rental services in one location. This will significantly reduce shuttle bus traffic and free up valuable airport space. Importantly, the development is set to play a key role in accommodating future demand. Passenger numbers are expected to reach 120 million annually by 2045.

✦ ArchUp Editorial Insight

The project envisions a consolidated car rental facility directly linked to the main terminal via a dedicated transport connection. Conceptually, it suggests an efficient layout with open spaces and clear circulation paths. The use of concrete and glass could convey durability and transparency. However, the architectural character in terms of spatial expression and visual identity remains underdefined. This raises questions about its long-term aesthetic relevance. Still, integrating the facility into the airport’s infrastructure delivers strong operational value. It enhances passenger flow efficiency for years to come.
