Project:
The proposed hospitality concept should encompass guestrooms, food and beverage offerings, amenity spaces, and more.

In the submission process, submit the following attachments:

– A compelling presentation (PPT or PDF) that effectively communicates the project concept, its significance, and the potential impact.
– Detailed sketches, renderings, and/or a video of a 3D model illustrating the product.

In the application form, answer the following questions:

1. What is your project? Clearly articulate the unique features and functionalities of your hotel concept. Consider what makes your hospitality concept unique compared to what is currently on the market.
2. What hospitality problem is your project attempting to solve or how is it elevating the guest experience?
3. Provide an estimate of the timeframe required for successful implementation of your project and describe the path you will take.
4. Do you have any team members? Provide their name(s) and email(s).
5. What is your company/University name?
6. How do you hear about Radical Innovation?
7. If you are a student, upload a picture of your student ID.

Product:

The proposed hospitality product should be an innovation for hotel guestrooms, food and beverage offerings, amenity spaces, and more.

In the submission process, submit the following attachments:

– A compelling presentation (PPT or PDF) that effectively communicates the product concept, its significance, and the potential impact.
– Detailed sketches, renderings, and/or a video of a 3D model illustrating the product.

In the application form, answer the following questions:

1. What is your product? Clearly articulate the unique features and functionalities.
2. Outline the technical aspects of the design, including materials, manufacturing processes, and technologies used.
3. What hospitality problem is it attempting to solve or how is it elevating the guest experience?
4. Provide an estimate of the timeframe required for successful implementation of your product in the marketplace and describe the path you will take.
5. Do you have any team members? Provide their name(s) and email(s).
6. What is your company/University name?
7. How do you hear about Radical Innovation?
8. If you are a student, upload a picture of your student ID.

*Radical Innovation Submission Fee:
– Students: Free with a valid student ID
– Professionals: $250


Through an annual competition, the Radical Innovation Award ® mobilizes innovators from around the world with the ideas to propel the industry forward. We create a platform for development and design visionaries to come together around innovations for the hotel and tourism industries.

The Radical Innovation Award Student Project winner will receive $5,000 and the opportunity to apply for an Assistantship and full Scholarship from our University Partners.

The Radical Innovation Award Student Product winners will receive $2,500, and the opportunity to attend The Makerspace at Black Fire Innovation.
The Radical Innovation Award University Partners offer the following opportunities to the Student Project Winners:

The University of Las Vegas Nevada (UNLV) offers the student design winner the opportunity to apply for an assistantship to their Masters of Architecture program.

The University of Illinois offers a Teaching Assistantship to their School of Architecture to a qualifying student winner.

NYU allows for the Student Winner to apply for a partial or full scholarship for a graduate degree from the NYUSPS Jonathan M. Tisch Center of Hospitality.

Open to the public/Minimum requirements (Open to anyone that complies with the requirements), More than one stage (Winners selected after at least two selection phases)

If a project – The proposed hospitality concept should encompass guestrooms, food and beverage offerings, amenity spaces, and more.

If a product – The proposed hospitality product should be an innovation for hotel guestrooms, food and beverage offerings, amenity spaces, and more.
