Transforming Existing Structures for a Sustainable Future

In an era marked by pressing environmental and spatial challenges, the concept of adaptive reuse emerges as a compelling solution. Instead of constructing anew, Re:Form challenges architects, designers, and innovators to breathe life into forgotten, used, or abandoned spaces under 250 square meters. This competition emphasizes the ingenuity of reimagining existing structures to serve contemporary needs while contributing to sustainability and community impact.

Participants are encouraged to select any site globally—be it an unused storefront, an abandoned shed, or a neglected segment of a larger building. The goal is to showcase how limited spaces can be transformed innovatively, highlighting the potential of these forgotten corners to serve new purposes. By balancing functionality, design, and sustainability, Re:Form celebrates adaptive reuse as a pivotal strategy in creating a sustainable urban fabric.
