Six sessions on a monthly basis, presented by international researchers reflecting on a number of the protagonists of the Latin American Modern Movement who have developed urban projects for the continent, contributing to the talk on the contemporary urban landscape.
After the primary lecture series (October-December 2020), “Roundtrip: From the Seine to the Rio de La Plata” (see more on YouTube Channel ex-momo) on the connection between Le Corbusier and Argentina ranging from the journey of 1929, during this second cycle will deepen the role of the protagonists of the Latin American Modern Movement through the architects – from Berta Zegarra Russo to German Semper, from Luz Amorocho to Lucio Costa – who developed an academic and professional relationship between the 2 continents.
The aim of those meetings is to reflect on urban projects, whether completed or not, the results of the exchanges of shared modernity between Europe and Latin America . Among the topics: the role of correspondence exchanges / the contribution of girls architects / the belief of the urban proposals of the fashionable Movement / preservation and enhancement of the heritage resulting from these exchanges.

Call for Contributions

The international group of research ex-momo (Exchanges of recent Movement) invites all from the master’s students to the teachers with an interest within the urban and architecture historiography of the fashionable Movement to present their scientific papers within the framework of the II International Conference.
The gathering are going to be a multidisciplinary forum hospitable issues and areas of data that need to do with the theme of dialogue . One section of the conferences are going to be specialise in women architects or on their role within the development of some projects.
Proposals are going to be individual and will counts 800 words, amid a bibliography, and a 80-word biographical profile. The proposals are going to be selected by the Scientific Committee. These ones must be original and not published or presented publicly events before.
When proposals are approved, a method guide are going to be provided for the definitive writing of papers, and every one papers examined and accepted are going to be published during a scientific journal.
The official languages of the congress are going to be English, Italian and Spanish.
