And the journey of naming the actual name began by defining criteria, attributes and conditions,

The list included 2,000 names, which were reduced – according to standards and requirements – to 150 names,
and then reduced again to five names.
However, none of them were chosen or agreed upon.
During the Constituent Assembly discussions,
some members considered giving the project the name of His Royal Highness, Chairman of the Constituent Assembly,

As such, two names were suggested: “NEOVIA MBS” and “NMBS”, but the opinions of the members were divided.

The name of many international engineering companies has been associated with the name of NEOM,

Bechtel, one of the world’s largest industrial contractors, has been appointed project management consultant for Trojena in Neom,
Mountain development project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
It will provide services, including technical, commercial and construction management,
on the ambitious project in the northwest of the Kingdom.

Average income and salaries in the NEOM project
The annual income in NEOM is about 54 thousand US dollars,
which is just over half of the annual income of 100 thousand US dollars.

People close to the hiring process say Neom offers packages based on the salaries of potential employees at their previous employer.
This means that there can be significant pay gaps depending on where employees are hired.
Neom Construction and Real Estate Development also pays an average salary of $4,830,375.
Salaries range from $4,249,482 to $5,473,856.

Meanwhile, NEOM executives, a level below senior executives, earn median salaries of $660,000.
The list showed that the managers, who include dozens of people in NEOM, earn $270,000 annually.
