Jeddah continues to witness rapid urban development. Among the standout projects shaping its evolving landscape is Marafy, a transformative development integrating modern infrastructure with sustainable urban design. The Marafy Jeddah Project exemplifies this commitment to growth and innovation.

In a recent milestone, construction has officially begun on the retaining wall of the main water canal, marking a new phase in the project. These works are progressing in parallel with excavation and dewatering activities along the first 2.5 kilometres of the canal. Ultimately, the canal will extend to a total length of 11 kilometres, enhancing the Marafy Jeddah Project’s comprehensive urban planning.

Current Construction Scene

Recent aerial imagery reveals a bustling construction site. Heavy machinery is in full motion with cranes installing structural components and excavators shaping the canal’s pathway. Meanwhile, site crews are coordinating on multiple fronts painting a clear picture of a well-orchestrated plan within the Marafy Jeddah Project.

In addition to the canal wall, bridge foundation work is also underway within the Marafy Jeddah Project. These bridges will eventually connect both sides of the waterway and form part of an integrated mobility system within the development. The upcoming second phase of the canal construction is expected to begin soon. It will take place within the airport’s boundary.
