The Call invites researchers, architects, designers, artists, and practitioners to submit critical viewpoints, studies, and reflections which explore the contemporary theme through their research about the city of Rome. The call framework connects to urban and architectural exploration which exists in architectural design competitions and design research themes and architectural news content.

✦ ArchUp Editorial Insight

The Casa dell’Architettura Call for Contributions 2026 enables researchers to conduct critical studies which analyze current urban transformation activities and architectural developments throughout Rome. The submission process requires applicants to submit both written documents and visual content, which enables academic researchers and cultural experts to conduct thorough academic research, while selected works will be published through exhibitions to reach a wider audience. Researchers and practitioners who study both theoretical frameworks and analytical methods will find the call useful because it supports their research work during the conference and the study materials from the event.

Critical Conclusion

The Casa dell’Architettura Call for Contributions 2026 creates a platform for scholars to examine urban and architectural research which addresses the modern problems that Rome faces. The open, research-oriented format of the program enables researchers and theorists and practitioners to develop their architectural knowledge through research activities which extend beyond standard design competitions. The event offers value because it presents a small cash prize and exhibition/publication results, yet contributors must create a research summary which combines their research and visual materials into a single structured document for assessment purposes. The selected works will contribute both to the live dialogue at ROMA CONTAMINATA and to a cultural publication documenting the event’s intellectual outcomes.
