Mountain

Qiddiya – June 2025
One of the most striking landmarks in the Qiddiya entertainment project is beginning to take shape. The Qiddiya mountain structure, resembling a massive camel-like form, emerges at the heart of the construction site. The towering Qiddiya mountain structure is part of a large-scale water attraction in development in the Kingdom.

A design rooted in terrain and wildlife symbolism

The rocky Qiddiya mountain structure, now visibly rising on site, blends natural desert topography with sculptural symbolism. Meanwhile, sweeping blue water slides twist around the formation. This melds architectural scale with recreational function.

Major progress marks a new phase of development

Recent site photos show significant advancement in construction, with much of the external structure now complete. Scaffolding covers the formation as installation of ride components and pathways accelerates. The pace of work suggests that the Qiddiya mountain structure is moving steadily toward a future opening. This is in line with Qiddiya’s development timeline.

Part of a larger entertainment vision

This camel-like feature is a key element within Qiddiya’s expansive water park. Artists carved towering ibex heads into the rock face to reference native wildlife. The development, including the Qiddiya mountain structure, is led by Qiddiya Investment Company, which aims to position the destination west of Riyadh as a global hub. The focus is on entertainment, sports, and culture as part of Saudi Arabia’s broader Vision 2030.
