Archtober 2026 — New York City Architecture and Design Festival

Archtober returns across New York City in October 2026 as a month-long festival dedicated to architecture, design, and the built environment. The 16th edition is organized around the theme In Our Hands, connecting questions of nature, media, culture, history, and education with the way buildings and cities are designed, understood, and experienced.
Programming extends across the five boroughs through a network of more than 100 cultural and professional partners. Visitors can expect architect-led building tours, exhibitions, talks, public programs, educational activities, and behind-the-scenes access to spaces that are not normally encountered through everyday city life. The festival is particularly relevant to architects, designers, students, urbanists, researchers, and anyone interested in reading New York through its buildings and public spaces.
