DESIGNART TOKYO 2026

DESIGNART TOKYO 2026 will take place from October 30 to November 8, 2026, marking the 10th anniversary of one of Japan’s leading international design and art festivals. Held across Tokyo, the festival transforms the city’s vibrant neighborhoods into an open-air exhibition platform, bringing together innovative works, creative installations, and ideas from Japan and around the world.

The 2026 edition is centered around the theme “Hibiki” (Resonance), exploring the connections and echoes that emerge across time, distance, colors, materials, cultures, and emotions. The theme encourages artists and designers to consider how creative expressions can resonate with people and places beyond their immediate context.

Rather than being confined to a single venue, DESIGNART TOKYO activates multiple areas of the city, including Omotesando and Gaienmae, Harajuku and Shibuya, Roppongi, Ginza and central Tokyo, and Daikanyama and Ikejiri. This citywide format allows visitors to discover exhibitions, installations, and creative projects while experiencing Tokyo itself as part of the festival.

The festival showcases a diverse range of disciplines, including interior and product design, architecture, fashion, contemporary art, technology, food, and sports-related concepts. It provides a platform for established creators, emerging talents, brands, galleries, and creative institutions to present experimental ideas and explore new connections between art, design, technology, and everyday life.

For its 10th-anniversary edition, the festival’s key visual is created by photographer and artist Kenta Cobayashi, further reflecting its focus on contemporary creativity and cross-disciplinary expression.
