Contemporary Istanbul 2026

The 21st edition of Contemporary Istanbul will take place from September 23 to 27, 2026, at Tersane Istanbul, bringing together leading galleries, artists, collectors, curators, and art enthusiasts from around the world. The fair will feature more than 70 international and local galleries from 24 countries across four continents, presenting a diverse selection of contemporary and modern art.

The 2026 edition will offer an engaging program that extends beyond gallery presentations, including public art projects, panel discussions, and special cultural events. With its international scope and dynamic program, Contemporary Istanbul continues to strengthen Istanbul’s position as a major hub for contemporary art, connecting the global art community with Turkey’s vibrant cultural scene.

The event will begin with the At First Sight preview on September 22, followed by the VIP Preview on September 23, while general admission will run from September 24 to 27. The fair is supported by Akbank as its Main Partner and will be hosted at the historic waterfront venue of Tersane Istanbul in the Beyoğlu district.
