DC Design Week 2026

DC Design Week 2026 takes place across Washington, DC from October 1 to October 10, 2026. Presented by AIGA DC, the citywide programme brings together designers, creatives, institutions and curious audiences through talks, workshops, archives, exhibitions, walks, conversations and gatherings.
The 2026 theme, Research & Development, shifts attention from finished design toward the references, questions, methods and experiments that shape creative work. The programme includes sessions on preservation and archives, portfolio development, urban design, photography, music and creative practice at venues including the AIA Global Campus for Architecture and Design, the National Gallery of Art Library and the National Building Museum.
