Habitare 2026

Habitare 2026 will take place from September 2 to 6, 2026, at the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre (Messukeskus) in Pasila, Finland. Recognized as one of the Nordic region’s leading events for furniture, interior decoration, and design, Habitare brings together designers, architects, brands, retailers, industry professionals, and design enthusiasts from Finland and around the world.

The theme of the 2026 edition is “Plot Twists,” exploring unexpected design choices, unconventional ideas, and innovative approaches to creating spaces and products. The event will showcase a wide range of Nordic furniture, lighting, interior décor, sustainable materials, and contemporary craftsmanship, highlighting both established brands and emerging creative talent.

A key highlight is the Habitare Design Competition, which invites students to develop innovative architecture and design concepts inspired by the “Plot Twists” theme, with a €5,000 scholarship awarded to the winning concept. The event will also feature decentralized showroom events across central Helsinki, extending the design experience beyond the main exhibition venue.
