LebensArt Lübben 2026: Garden, Home and Lifestyle Fair
July 31 @ 8:00 am - August 2 @ 5:00 pm
€9
Overview
LebensArt Lübben returns for its 2026 edition on the historic Schlossinsel (Castle Island) of Lübben, in the heart of the Spreewald Biosphere Reserve in Brandenburg, Germany, from July 31 to August 2, 2026. From July 31 to August 2, 2026, the picturesque castle island of the idyllic town becomes a meeting point for garden enthusiasts and lovers of beautiful things. Organized by Das AgenturHaus GmbH, the Lübeck-based event company that has been running the LebensArt series since its premiere in 2011, this is part of a nationwide touring series of garden, home design, and lifestyle fairs held at historic and scenic venues across Germany.
The name “LebensArt” stands symbolically for the art of stylish living, uniting the themes of garden, home, enjoyment, fashion, and quality of life into an inspiring fair experience in a special atmosphere. The venue, the historic castle park surrounding Lübben Castle, provides a backdrop of wide lawns, old tree stock, and listed buildings that sets the fair apart from conventional indoor trade show formats.
Focus
The fair covers the full spectrum of garden, outdoor living, home furnishing, and lifestyle products. Around 100 exhibitors present current trends and innovative ideas across plants and horticulture, outdoor furniture, garden tools, interior accessories, and craft design. The outdoor format is fundamental to the event’s character: it is a fair experienced within a garden setting, not merely a fair about gardens.
Visitors discover a large selection of plants, perennials, roses, herbs, and botanical rarities. This is supplemented by garden furniture, decorations, garden tools, and creative solutions for balconies, terraces, and small gardens. Exhibitors also present stylish home accessories, modern interior concepts, and furniture and decorative items for indoor and outdoor use.
Artisans, designers, and manufacturers present their work and offer interesting insights into traditional and modern craft techniques through live demonstrations. Wood sculptors, painters, and ceramicists demonstrate their skills live, making a fair visit a special experience.
Shopping in the green: new ideas for house and garden, from small delights to investments in a more beautiful home, all within the special atmosphere of the Schlossinsel.
LebensArt Lübben, Fair Description
Setting
Embedded in meadows, forests, and small rivers in the heart of the Spreewald Biosphere Reserve, Lübben is known as the “Gateway to the Upper and Lower Spreewald” and offers, with its diversity of flora and fauna, an ideal backdrop for LebensArt. The Schlossinsel unites nature and culture in a particularly distinctive way: enclosed by watercourses, with maintained green spaces and numerous walking paths, the park reflects the characteristic Spreewald landscape. The fair’s installation period closes the island to the public from July 23 to 29 before the event opens on July 31.
LebensArt Series
The Lübben edition is one of many stops in the LebensArt touring series organized by Das AgenturHaus GmbH across Germany’s summer and autumn seasons. The 2026 series also visits Liebenberg (August 7–9), Beetzseeheide (August 14–16), Kloster Schinna (August 21–23), Schkopau (August 21–23), Deinste (August 28–30), Burg Stargard (September 4–6), Weinheim and Raguhn-Jeßnitz (September 18–20), and autumn editions in Basthorst and Salzwedel in October. Each stop takes place at a distinctive historic or natural venue.
Audience
The fair is open to the general public. Its primary visitors are garden enthusiasts, homeowners, design-interested adults, and families from the Spreewald region and Berlin-Brandenburg area. The format combines shopping, artisan demonstrations, music, and food in an outdoor setting, giving it a character closer to a curated open-air lifestyle event than a conventional consumer fair. Children up to 15 years old enter free when accompanied by an adult.

✦ ArchUp Editorial Insight
LebensArt Lübben is architecturally relevant not for its product range but for its spatial format: a consumer lifestyle fair installed within a heritage landscape, where the garden setting is as much the exhibition as the exhibitors within it. The Schlossinsel context, a listed park in a biosphere reserve, transforms what might otherwise be a standard home and garden fair into an argument about how outdoor domestic space, landscape design, and the experience of living with nature can be curated and communicated. The blurred boundary between indoor and outdoor living — lounge furniture, terrace covers, outdoor kitchens, garden saunas — that characterises much of the fair’s product range reflects a genuine shift in how residential space is being conceived in German domestic culture, with the garden becoming an extension of the living room rather than a separate category. For practitioners interested in residential landscape and outdoor living as design disciplines, the fair’s setting makes it a more instructive visit than its modest scale might suggest.
Closing Note
LebensArt Lübben is a regional summer fair with a distinctive setting that elevates it above its category. Its combination of plants, craft design, outdoor furnishing, and curated artisan demonstrations within the Schlossinsel landscape makes it one of the more atmospheric consumer design events in the Berlin-Brandenburg summer calendar. For those interested in how domestic outdoor design and garden culture are communicated to a general public, it offers a useful and pleasant field visit.
