Recently opening its doors in Reykjavik’s buzzing heart, the Iceland Parliament Hotel, a creation of the Curio Collection by Hilton, stands out for its architectural brilliance, marrying the city’s rich cultural heritage with a modern design. The Iris Ceramica Group’s array of brands, featuring Ariostea, FMG Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti, Iris Ceramica, and SapienStone, were selected for their robustness, longevity, and captivating appeal in order to outfit the hotel’s interiors. In order to honor the location’s authenticity and unique character, a myriad of ceramic coverings, from entry-level lobbies to luxurious guestroom bathrooms, were added to the carefully crafted hotel concept.
The Iceland Parliament Hotel serves as a microcosm of the city, crafting an unforgettable stay that brings together comfort, curiosity. And a sense of belonging. Spanning 14,500 square meters, this monumental seven-year project was a collaboration of over 70 companies with up to 150 workers of over 10 nationalities. Paolo Gianfrancesco expresses how all the different stories of the hotel had to come together in one fluid narration. The inspired concept found its shape through an eclectic mix of warm and cool colors and matte and glossy textures. Also, through distinctively handmade furnishings. While exuding modern sophistication, the Iceland Parliament Hotel stands out as a tribute to Iceland’s enchanting landscape. With its distinct Iris Ceramica Group materials emphasizing the value of history and reflecting the beauty of nature.
