Upcoming Museum In China: The Yohoo Museum

The Yohoo Museum, designed by the Beijing-based architecture firm Aedas, is an innovative structure set to be situated on an artificial island in Hangzhou, China. This design reflects the surreal movement of the Yangtze River. Its undulating facade appears to hover delicately above the water, establishing it as a significant cultural landmark. Central to the museum’s design is the concept of jade, a material deeply rooted in Chinese culture. This symbolism is embodied in the double-ring structure, which resembles two interlocking jade rings.

The double-ring design spans more than 5,356 square meters and appears to challenge the laws of gravity. The museum’s exterior will showcase translucent panels made of “emerald glass,” constructed from multilayered laminated glass.
