Simple Kitchen: The Culinary Space as a Commodity

They traveled around Italy at the beginning of the “Very Simple Kitchen” quest in search of production partners for their innovative kitchen idea. They conducted a rebranding process later this year in partnership with Form Us With Love and Simple Flair. It’s undoubtedly been a significant development, but not entirely out of the ordinary.

I have never been a huge fan of kitchens made by well-known manufacturers. They all seem pretty similar to me. Very Simple Kitchen stood out in contrast. It felt like a product rather than just a practical space, not only because of the metal that it was built of but also because of the way it was created.

There was something that could not be described, but it always made me happy when I saw it. It was kind of like the connection one may have to a Mini Cooper or a Berkel slicer.

He revealed that the beginning of it all was his design degree thesis. He worked with a brand to design a kitchen during his school years, but the endeavor was a failure. Nevertheless, the idea persisted in the back of his mind until he decided to create a prototype.

He was granted the chance to showcase his kitchen at Maison & Objet in Paris at the time after winning a design competition. People began purchasing this kitchen after it caused a stir, particularly after it was featured in Elle Decor France.

It wasn’t an easy road to success for Riccardo in France. In spite of this, he made considerable efforts to build a respectable brand, which included a catchy name, a cohesive image, and a commercially viable product. After all of this effort, achievement was eventually attained.

Riccardo’s accomplishment is especially remarkable, considering that he had no prior experience in business.

When Riccardo imagined Very Simple Kitchen, he had a ground-breaking idea. He intended to produce a metal kitchen that was stand-alone and could be customized online, rather than merely a laminated assembly of kitchenware. This was a key component of the original strategy.

Even while a job can seem easy once it’s finished, the process is actually far more challenging. Workbench concepts were incorporated into Riccardo’s kitchen designs, resulting in an improvement in both appearance and functionality. His physical attributes worked well together in this circumstance.

It’s common knowledge that a person’s attachment to a thing is very subjective. It’s similar to how people are drawn to different types of music, depending on how much they like it. People who are drawn to a certain artist might not always be able to explain why they are drawn to them, whereas people who have studied music can appreciate the subtleties of sound, notes, and interpretation. Certain artists have the ability to arouse feelings in both general public and art enthusiasts. In a similar vein, whether or not they are aware of each component of the product, both designers and customers will associate it positively.

According to Riccardo, a lot of designers looked to them for kitchen ideas. They were able to establish their imprint in a world that was selective by furnishing the homes and offices of designers.

Convey Space presented Form Us With Love, a renowned furniture and lighting firm, during Milan Design Week 2023. The partnership began with the goal of buying a kitchen and resulted in a complete installation where visitors could vote for their favorite kitchen accessories. The connection between the prestigious firm and a company based in Bologna, Italy, where the most famous kitchen design label comes from, was surprising.
