Vienna Design Week 2026

Vienna Design Week 2026 marks the festival’s 20th anniversary with a citywide programme of around 200 exhibitions, talks, tours, workshops, and experimental design formats across Vienna.

The jubilee edition reflects on two decades of multidisciplinary design while continuing the festival’s focus on how design interacts with everyday life, public space, materials, and social questions. Luxembourg joins as the guest country, while special programmes include the FOKUS theme The Essence of Lightness, the 20 Years of Vienna Design Week: A City Full of Posters exhibition at MAK, and social design projects developed through Stadtarbeit 2026.

The festival is particularly relevant to designers, architects, students, researchers, and visitors interested in contemporary design culture and its relationship with the city.
