Recognition, jury and rights

The organizer lists three winners, five honourable mentions, one special mention and thirty shortlisted entries, with publication, certificates and a jury report or interview for winners. The cash component is conditional and the published call does not state exact amounts.

The brief describes review by architects, designers, educators and industry professionals but does not name a competition-specific panel. It also does not promise construction or commissioning. Participants should review the platform’s publication and intellectual-property terms and license any third-party site imagery used.

✦ ArchUp Competition Review

The subject can support a serious landscape inquiry when it connects ritual, maintenance, soil, water, accessibility and long-term ecological change. A strong proposal should distinguish daily public use from moments of mourning and show how the place adapts across generations.

The open site invites invention but also removes local legal, cultural and geological constraints that normally shape cemetery design. Entrants should state their chosen context and assumptions. Conditional cash prizes, an unnamed jury and the absence of an implementation route remain substantial reservations.
