Oxagon : An industrial dream coming true in NEOM
The Oxagon industrial city in NEOM is witnessing remarkable progress in construction work, as Saudi Arabia works to create a unique model for future manufacturing centers.
Oxagon spans a large area in the southwest corner of NEOM and includes innovation factories, a fully automated port, residential and hotel facilities, advanced research centers, and a massive green hydrogen facility.
It will also be connected to The Line via high-speed trains, enhancing the integration of megaprojects in NEOM.
Project Launch: The Crown Prince’s Vision to Boost the Economy and Industrial Diversification
In November 2021, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman announced the establishment of Oxagon as a key part of NEOM’s strategy, which aims to redefine how humanity will live and work in the future.
He emphasized that the city will be a catalyst for economic growth and diversification in Saudi Arabia, in line with Vision 2030.
His Highness stated, “Oxagon will contribute to redefining the world’s approach to industrial development, while protecting the environment and creating new job opportunities. It will also contribute to supporting regional and global trade.”

Unique Design and a Global Center for Clean Industries
Oxagon is designed in a unique octagonal shape that minimizes environmental impact while preserving 95% of the surrounding nature.
The city is the largest floating structure in the world, making it a center for the blue economy, which relies on the oceans to achieve sustainable development.
Oxagon’s Highlights:
The first integrated ecosystem for a carbon-neutral supply chain and ports.
An automated port integrated with the latest artificial intelligence and robotics technologies.
The world’s largest green hydrogen project, in partnership with Air Products and ACWA Power.
The region’s largest hyperscale data center.

Global Partnerships and Innovative Industrial Sectors
Engineer Nazmi Al-Nasr, CEO of NEOM, confirmed that Oxagon will witness a radical shift in the concept of global manufacturing, supported by global partners.
The city focuses on seven key sectors:
Sustainable energy (such as green hydrogen).
Autonomous mobility.
Innovation in water solutions.
Sustainable food production.
Health and well-being.
Digital manufacturing and robotics.
Modern construction methods.

Conclusion: Oxagon and NEOM…A Promising Future
With continued construction progress, Oxagon is poised to become a global model for smart and sustainable industrial cities. It is expected to attract industry leaders and investors as the first projects begin operations, strengthening Saudi Arabia’s position as a leading destination for innovation and advanced manufacturing.
