A new achievement for Vipp: the Todos Santos guesthouse wins the “Best Home Away From Home” award at the Wallpaper* Design Awards 2025.
Collaboration with Pérez Palacios Arquitectos Asociados:
Ten years after unveiling its first guesthouse on Sweden’s Lake Immeln, the Danish design brand Vipp partnered with Pérez Palacios Arquitectos Asociados to create this distinctive Mexican retreat.
The result is a seamless blend of contemporary, eco-conscious architecture that thoughtfully incorporates and respects regional traditions.
Property Details and Architectural Design:
The property spans 350 square meters and includes five bedrooms distributed between the main house and two connected guest houses. It also features a circular swimming pool on the roof and spacious terraces. The design includes walls made from raw compressed earth, which celebrates the local character and enhances the concept of living between indoor and outdoor spaces.
Large windows offer unobstructed views of the Pacific Ocean, while the pool serves as a celestial oasis, adding to the overall beauty of the space.
Interior Design:
Inside the property, Vipp’s third-generation co-owner, Sofie Christensen Egelund, and designer Julie Cloos Mølsgaard adorned the interiors with natural tones, earthy textures, and local crafts, including ceramic pieces and window shutters made from palo de arco wood. This combination of modern design with local craftsmanship adds a unique touch to the interior.
